1. Our Founding Philosophy
At Anirjan, our mission is Not Without People. We believe technology should bring clarity and calm, not surveillance. FinDiary never sells, rents, monetizes, or shares your personal financial ledger, transaction notes, or diary entries with third-party advertisers, lenders, or data brokers.
2. What We Collect & Why
- Authentication Credentials: Email address or Google Sign-In identity to secure and sync your personal account via Supabase Auth.
- Financial & Journal Entries: Transaction amounts, custom categories, diary timestamps, recurring bill schedules, and split ledger notes entered voluntarily by you.
- Voice Input (Optional): Voice transcripts processed exclusively in real-time when you tap the mic for hands-free diary logging. Voice audio is immediately converted to text and never stored as audio recordings.
- Technical Diagnostics: Anonymized crash logs and app performance telemetry to troubleshoot issues and maintain offline-first sync integrity.
3. Local-First Storage & Encryption
- Offline-First: Transactions are saved instantly to your device's local database (Hive) so you have immediate offline access.
- Encrypted Synchronization: Cloud backup is transmitted over TLS 1.3 encryption to enterprise-grade Postgres databases secured with Row Level Security (RLS) policies. Only your authenticated credentials can read or write your records.
- AI Assistant (Arti): Natural language parsing is performed through isolated, privacy-compliant Google Gemini enterprise endpoints. Your personal logs are strictly isolated and never used to train public AI models.
4. Advertising Disclosures (Free Tier)
The free tier of FinDiary displays non-intrusive banner and interstitial advertisements via Google AdMob. AdMob may process pseudonymous device identifiers in compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store privacy frameworks. Upgrading to FinDiary Premium removes all advertising trackers.
5. Your Rights: Export & Deletion
You maintain 100% data sovereignty. Inside the FinDiary app under Settings:
- CSV Export: Download your entire financial ledger anytime.
- Timeframe Purge: Clear entries for specific months or date ranges.
- Delete Account: Permanently and irreversibly erase your cloud profile, database records, and authentication tokens from our servers.
